Bite Sized Mandarin Lessons from 25 to 45 Minutes
Groovy Skye's 25 and 45 minute bite sized Mandarin Immersion Lessons and Classes focus on practical conversation skills. Groovy Skye's own illustrated lesson books start with basic greetings and introductions and then progresses through various daily tasks and social situations.
Groovy Skye's Mandarin Immersion Lessons and Classes' innovative curriculum is tailor made for students of all backgrounds to effectively learn Mandarin reading, writing, and conversation. Groovy Skye's unique learning activities and strategies keep students interested and self-motivated. Students are grouped into small classes based on age and ability thus ensuring each student receives individualized attention.
Groovy Skye supplements its classes with a constantly changing array of activities that help students learn and retain Chinese language such as: Chinese typing, e learning, puppet shows, music, robotics, art, targeted use of AV content, Chinese cooking, traditional dress, celebrating holidays and festivals, and much, much more!
Flexible Scheduling
Groovy Skye's 2024 Online Summer Camp and Summer LAB are divided into two daily sessions: The Morning Session from 9 am to 9:45 am, and the Afternoon Session from 1 pm to 1:45 pm.
The Morning and Afternoon Sessions feature Chinese language lessons focused on either listening and speaking or on reading and writing. Both sessions include fun and exciting group lessons and activities as well as individual exploration and creation time.
Because the Morning and Afternoon Sessions are different, students get the best experience by attending both the Morning and the Afternoon Sessions. However, students have the option of attending just one of the Sessions.
Accelerated Language Learning!
Our campers interact daily with native speakers and will quickly acquire the ability to communicate in Chinese to their counselors and amongst themselves.
New Theme Every Week!
Each week of camp will feature a different exciting theme such as music, science and handicrafts and every day will have unique lessons and activities, all in a Mandarin Chinese environment.
